Cyclist dies at Schoon Ord

A 67-year-old man died after being struck down by a car while heading home on his bicycle on the Schoon Ord Public Road, West Bank Demerara (WBD) on Monday night.

Dead is Samuel Bobb of Middle Street, Pouderoyen, WBD. He died at the Georgetown Public Hospital, while receiving medical treatment after the accident which occurred about 8:15 that night. His grandson, Peter Livingstone Junior, whom he was towing at the time was treated and sent away. According to a police press release investigations revealed that Bobb was towing his grandson, who is seven-years-old along the Schoon Ord Public Road when he was struck down by the car, which was proceeding in the same direction……
