Thief jailed for two years

Principal Magistrate Krishndat Persaud on Thursday sentenced a 43-year-old man to two years imprisonment after he admitted to a charge of break and enter and larceny.

According to the facts of the case Shameer Minachie, of no fixed place of abode, broke and entered the dwelling house of Raj Persaud at Race Course, Springlands and stole articles worth $45,000. Minachie admitted to the offence at the Springlands Court, telling the magistrate, “Boss man me sorry fuh wah happen, gi me a lil thing.” …..
