The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) said it recently installed the last piece of equipment to facilitate mobile access at Mabaruma.

In a press release the company said the new cellular site in the main administrative centre in Region One comes on the heels of its commissioning and subsequent optimization of service at Mahdia in Region Eight and at Port Kaituma.

GT&T said Mabaruma is a key agricultural location and the service will provide a viable mobile option and augment its fixed line and rural radio service. The company said it has already received a number of positive responses from residents who see the development as significant. …..
