A 30-year-old man who allegedly broke and entered a popular city store and carted off booty worth $300,000 was remanded to prison when he appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Nobert Lakeram, who did not provide a fixed address to the court, pleaded not guilty to the charge of break and enter and larceny when it was read to him by Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle.
It is alleged that between May 24 and 26 the accused broke and entered Ashmin’s Trading and carted off $300,000 worth of clothing.
Lakeram was remanded to prison and the matter was transferred to Court Four for June 16.
