Infrastructural works are moving apace at host venues including the Guyana National Stadium as the nation counts down to the opening of Carifesta X.

In a press release the Carifesta Secretariat said Minister of Public Works and Hydraulics Robeson Benn pointed out that works including the cleaning and painting of roads are among plans to enhance the city. In addition to routine works the ministry will also be engaging in a project to upgrade the general aesthetics of villages along major highways.

Among host venues where works have started are the Stadium which is being outfitted with a new lighting system, the National Park where viewing stands are being repaired and the Sophia Exhibition Site.
