GT&T gives Habitat $1M cheque

The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) company recently handed over a cheque for $1M to Habitat for Humanity in a demonstration of its commitment to the organisation.

Deputy General Manager, Public Communi-cations, Terry Holder handed over the cheque to Lance Hinds, a council member at Habitat. At a simple ceremony hosted at GT&T’s head office, Telephone House, Holder said it would continue its association with the home building programme as demonstrated by its yearly funding. He also recalled the company’s productive relationship with the NGO, pointing out that it was the first to partner with them, a press release said.
