A 35-year-old Queens, New York man was found shot in the head in the front seat of his car early Sunday morning in Jamaica (neighbourhood in the borough of Queens)  by a woman who said she had passed out in the back seat, a New York Times report said yesterday.

The man, Ravindranauth Bandhu was taken from his car to the Mary Immaculate Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to the report the police have said they were questioning the woman.
The man’s reputed wife, Shabana Natasha Rampersaud, 33, told the newspaper that they lived in Ozone Park with their children from previous relationships and her parents.

According to the newspaper, the woman said that the man told her that he was going to a wake at 10:30 pm on Saturday night with a friend whose first name was Rajesh.

She said the last time she heard from him was after midnight when she called to tell him she would stay awake until his return, but he told her not to bother.

It was around 4 am, the newspaper said, when the man had still not returned and she became concerned and called his cellular phone but there was no answer until around 7:45 am. A woman finally answered and told her that she had just woken up to find the man bleeding from the mouth.
