Two men shot in fracas

Two men were yesterday afternoon taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) with gunshot wounds about their body and investigators were up to last night trying to ascertain the circumstances prompting the shooting.

Anthony Taylor of Adelaide Street, Charlestown sustained a gunshot wound to his left foot and under his left armpit while Troy Bishop was shot in his right shoulder and his right forearm.

Taylor had reportedly told police that he was shot after he was involved in a family problem with two men known to him. The two shot men levelled various allegations at each other. The incident occurred in Albouystown.

Both men were treated at the hospital. Police have since taken fingerprints and are conducting investigations.
