The Carifesta Secretariat said rehabilitation works it had undertaken at a number of host sites and on access roads to the sites are near completion.

In a press release, the Secretariat said the Sophia Exhibition Centre, which will host the Carifesta X Grand Market, has undergone significant upgrading. The main auditorium at the Complex has been repainted while work is progressing on two sanitary blocks. Also, a culvert at Dennis Street has been completed in order to facilitate smooth access to and from the Complex. The works will be further complimented by other road repairs in the area.

Meanwhile, renovations on the eastern and western stands at the National Park are nearing completion. Two sanitary blocks are also being rebuilt in order to accommodate the crowd expected at the festival. The Youth Village and the Book Fair are slated to be held there. Also, a stand and night lights are to be erected in the northern section of the Park.

Additionally, nightlights are almost completely set up at the Providence stadium which will be hosting the opening and closing ceremonies and the super concerts. Also, improved lighting fixtures will be installed at the Clifford Anderson Sports Hall as it has been earmarked as a host venue. Cleaning, repairs and other enhancement works have also been conducted at the National Gymnasium. Other venues in host regions have also been earmarked for renovations.
