After conducting a search on a motor vehicle in Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara the police discovered fifteen 9mm rounds and two 12-gauge cartridges in the vehicle.

According to a police press release, last evening at about 5.30 pm ranks of a mobile police patrol in the area carried out a search on motor car HB 4959 parked along the roadway. They then discovered the ammunition.
The driver, who was in the car at the time of the search, has since been arrested and his car detained. Investigations are continuing.
