Go-Invest said it successfully organised the participation of 12 Guyanese companies in the Guyana Trade and Investment Exposition held during the 42nd Annual Guyana Independence Festival in Canada.

According to a press release the Consulate General for Guyana and the Independence Committee which comprises over 50 organisations in the Diaspora organised the Exposition. Go-Invest said a review of the results found four companies sold all the goods they displayed and three are following up with potential distributors. All the companies said they were confident that they would increase their market share in Toronto. The Exposition was hosted from June 20-22 at the L’Amoreaux Community Centre.

The companies were from the following sectors: processed foods, leather craft, tourism, basketry, garments, costume jewellery, wood products and cooking utensils. They are the Edward B Beharry and Company Ltd, Atlantic Leather, Cortours Inc, Food King, NCS Bamboo and Wood Craft Products, Souvenir Art and Craft, Two Star Boutique, Weslyn’s Trading, Tradewind Marine Ltd, Ricks and Sari Agro Processing Ltd and RT Imports and Exports.
