Guyana Watch Inc said it will be hosting its 16th Annual Medical Outreach Programme from today.
According to a press release the team will comprise 13 medical doctors in various fields of specialization. It will also include one dentist, two pharmacists and 18 supporting staff. During this year’s outreach the team expects to treat over 3,500 patients and prescribe more than US$350,000 in medication.

The first clinic will be held today for residents of the Timehri Docks, Santa Mission, Kuru-Kuru and Upper Demerara at the Timehri Government School. Tomorrow a clinic will be held for residents of Leonora and the West Coast Demerara at the Leonora Government School. On Monday for Aurora Village and the Essequibo Coast at the Aurora Government School; Tuesday, for Wales, Patentia and other West Bank Demerara residents at the Patentia Government School. On Thursday a clinic will be held for Port Mourant and Corentyne Coast residents and for the residents of the Kamal Home and Cenon Children’s Home at the Port Mourant Primary School. On Friday a clinic will be held for Bath Settlement and the West Coast Berbice residents at the Bath Settlement Government School.

The release advises all persons suffering from diabetes to fast the night before clinic to allow doctors to get an accurate reading of their blood sugar.
The clinic ends on July 27.
