Conductor remanded over assault on cop

Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle yesterday remanded a conductor to prison, when he appeared before her accused of assaulting a police officer.

When the magistrate asked Peter Patterson, 21, of 136 South Sophia, to submit a plea he replied, “I know nothing about that”. A plea of not guilty was then entered on his behalf.

It is alleged that on July 19, at Croal Street, Stabroek, Georgetown, Patterson assaulted a police officer on duty.

He was ordered to appear in Court Two on August 11.
