A Muslim Religious Night  will be part of CARIFESTA X and the event is billed for Sunday August 26 at the National Park beginning at 4 pm.

Minister Manzoor Nadir in his capacity as Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Muslim Religious Night  said the objective of the event is to put on show the Muslim religion.

As a result for that one night only the National Park will be transformed into one big grand bazaar where a wealth of representations of the Islamic culture can be found in abundance, the CARIFESTA Secretariat said in a press release yesterday.

At  the event there will be wholesome and satisfying halaal food booths and exhibits of Muslim art and craft along with plenty of cultural entertainment.  In addition a mosque called Masjid Al Guyana will be constructed at the north eastern area of the National Park to facilitate two prayer activities between 4-6 pm on the day of the event.
