Courtney Benn Contracting Services Limited (CBCSL) recently delivered 28 buoys and 20 connecting posts for upgrading works on the Demerara Harbour Bridge.

In a press release, the company said it built all of the components in Guyana. Managing Director Courtney Benn said his company was “proud to continue to fabricate and supply components” for the bridge. The delivery of these components is part of ongoing bridge maintenance.

Benn said the company had previously supplied components; pontoons for the bridge that were now in service and they had performed well. All components built by CBCSL are made to meet and surpass the design specifications of the original components supplied by Damen Shipyard of Holland.

Benn said the bridge was an important part of the country’s transportation infrastructure and his company “remains committed to fabricating components to (the) highest standards for its continued performance.”
