Captain missing after Olive Creek sinking

A 36-year-old boat captain is missing after his vessel sank at Olive Creek, Middle Mazaruni on Wednesday.
Missing is Azim Khan of Bartica. Police in a release said that the incident occurred at about mid-day on Wednesday. Khan and five other men are reported to have been aboard the vessel which struck a floating log and sank. The five other men managed to swim to shore, but so far Khan has not been located.
A search is being conducted for him, the police said.
