A man and a woman, who allegedly robbed a man of $410,000 in valuables, were remanded to prison when they appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

Ryan Meyers and Sharon Smith were not required to plead to the charge of robbery under arms when it was read to them by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton.

It is alleged that on July 21 being armed with a chopper the duo robbed Mark Dean of jewellery, a cellular phone and other articles together worth $410,000.

The prosecution requested that both accused be remanded and a date be set for report.

Meyers and Smith were subsequently remanded to prison and they will appear before the court on August 20.
