Armed robber accused remanded

Magistrate Nigel Hawke on Thursday remanded to prison a man accused of accosting a man and robbing him of his motor car and gold chain.

Paul Bracley was not required to plead to the charge of robbery under arms when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

It is alleged that on August 4 in Georgetown, being armed with an offensive weapon Bracley robbed Jeetendra Ramphal of the said item, together worth $1,870,000.

Bracley was ordered to appear at court on August 29.
