DVD vendor charged with larceny of gold bangle

A DVD vendor who allegedly stole a gold bangle was placed on $100,000 bail when he appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

The accused, Wayne Griffith of 34 Tucville Terrace, pleaded not guilty to the charge of simple larceny.

It is alleged that on August 2  in Georgetown Griffith stole a gold bangle valued $80,000 from Samantha Reynolds.

The prosecution made no objection to bail and Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry subsequently granted bail in the sum of $100,000.

The matter is to continue on September 22 in Court One.
