Ramadan set to begin

The Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) said Ramadan will begin tomorrow if the crescent is sighted today.

In a press release, the CIOG said if the crescent is not sighted this evening then Ramadan will begin on Tuesday. Muslims are encouraged to look for the moon and contact the CIOG on telephone numbers 225-6167, 227-1033 and 225-8654.
