Port Kaituma man remanded on carnal knowledge charge

A man who reportedly had carnal knowledge of a female under the age of 15 was refused bail when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Terrence Anthony Kennedy of Port Kaituma was not required to plead to the indictable charge of carnal knowledge when it was read to him by Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

It is alleged that on February 2 at Port Kaituma the man had carnal knowledge of a female under the age of 15.

The matter was transferred to the Matthew’s Ridge Magistrate’s Court for October 7.
