Buxton teen held in retired teacher’s murder

The police have arrested a 16-year-old suspect fingered in the murder of 70-year-old Dulcie Trim, a retired teacher of Buxton, East Coast Demerara, a police press release said.

The 16-year-old of Company Road, Buxton was previously charged with four robberies under arms and was placed on bail. However, he stopped attending court when another young man, 17-year-old Stephen Andrews was charged with Trim’s murder. His lawyer had told the court that he had gone into the interior and no arrest warrant had been issued for him.

Charges will be instituted against the 16-year-old shortly.
