The Chairman of the Police Complaints Authority, retired Justice Cecil Kennard is scheduled to travel to Berbice this weekend  to meet with members of the public who may wish to raise matters of concern with them.

A release from the PCA  said that this  meeting will be held in the courtroom of the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s  Court from 8:30 am on Saturday.

Residents in Berbice are urged to use this opportunity since this is likely to be the chairman’s last visit to the Berbice area this year, the release noted.

It said also that the PCA chairman will visit Linden (Region 10) and Mabaruma (Region 1) in October in order to sensitize members of the public about his role and functions.  Kennard  completed a successful visit to Bartica  two weeks ago, the release added.
