Miami businessmen interested in Le Meridien

A group of businessmen out of Miami have signed a letter of intent with the owners of Le Meridien Pegasus for the purchase of the hotel but no deal has been concluded.

Businessman, Robert Badal of Guyana Stockfeeds, who introduced the Miami businessmen to the owners of the hotel, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, told Stabroek News when contacted yesterday that he had met with the businessmen out of Miami who were interested in the hospitality industry and introduced them to the owners of Le Meridien Pegasus.

Stabroek News understands that two directors of the company have met with the Miami businessmen and negotiations have begun.

The General Manager of the hotel Bert Plas had told Stabroek News that discussions for the sale and upgrading of the hotel are underway but there had not been a deal.
