Grove man facing causing death charge

A 37-year-old man was yesterday placed on $200,000 bail after he appeared before Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin on a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.

It is alleged that on September 15 on Lamaha Street, Georgetown,  Celwin Grant of 936 Kaneville, Grove, East Bank Demerara, drove motor vehicle PEE 9448 in a manner dangerous to the public thereby causing the death of James Jacobs.

Grant is to return to court on October 17.
