Cabinet has given the green light to a $19.8M contract for the procurement of furniture for the new Mahaica Secondary School.

Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon made the disclosure yesterday at a press briefing. He disclosed too that in the agriculture sector  some $21.9M is being dedicated to the rehabilitation and extension of the laboratory at the National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI).

Also in agriculture but exclusively for drainage and irrigation Cabinet has given its nod for the construction of  a sluice and outfall channel at Cozier, Pomeroon to the tune of $25.6m.

And in the water sector, some $31.7m has been approved for construction of the Agricola water main.
