Robbed in Sophia while seeking directions

A businessman was on Thursday robbed by two gunmen in `C’ Field Sophia of US$1500 ($300,000), seconds after he stopped his car to ask for directions.

Police said in a press release that they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred about 2.45 pm in Sophia, during which businessman Kurt Holder was robbed by two men armed with firearms.

Investigations revealed that Holder was driving his motor vehicle when he stopped to ask the men for directions to a house, whereupon the men held him at gunpoint and took away US$1,500 and escaped, the release said.
