Guyana has a neurologist

Dear Editor,

I refer to two letters in your letter column that made reference to the need for the health sector to have a neurologist.

May I state that Guyana has the best neurologist in the region in the person of a Guyana Scholar, Dr Walter Ramsahoye.

In November of 2007 he wrote to the neurosurgeons at St Barnabas Hospital Complex in New Jersey, USA, which caused the doctors on two occasions to enquire, “Who is that doctor? We are impressed. That is exactly what we intend to do.”

Yours faithfully,
(Name and address supplied)
