Amin’s gas station robbed

Bandits robbed Amin’s Gas Station, Regent and King streets on Monday night of a quantity of cash.

According to police press release, at approximately 11 pm on Monday the pump attendant and the supermarket cashier were attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, of $15,000.

The cashier, Mea Murray, 32, and pump attendant Morris Hinds, 18, were on duty when the men approached and held them at gunpoint.

One of the men, the release said, took the cashier into the supermarket and emptied the cash register of $10,000 while the other man relieved the pump attendant of $5,000. The men then escaped.
