US Embassy offering guidance on immigrant visa appointments

The Consular Section of the US Embassy in Georgetown  is now offering written guidance on how to prepare for immigrant visa appointments, with the aim of improving  service to immigrant visa applicants.

In a press release yesterday the Embassy  said that interested persons should e-mail visageorge@state.gov  and simply write “Interview Preparation Request” in the subject line of the e-mail.   The Consular Section, the release added,  will respond with detailed guidance on how to better prepare for immigrant visa appointments.

This information can also be found online at http://travel.state.gov/pdf/supplements/GEO-SUP-ENGL-0001-0809.pdf.

However,  this information is not available by phone and will not be provided in person at the Embassy, the release concluded.
