Georgetown Lions donate to North Georgetown students

The Lions Club of Georgetown donated a quantity of school supplies to three underprivileged students at a city school as part of its Education Month observances.  According to a press release, the group’s Education and Youth Committee presented the donation, which included books and stationary to Principal at the North Georgetown Primary School Yvette Williams. Williams said she was grateful to the Club and that it had now become a part of the school by joining with other charitable organisations to contribute to the education of less fortunate students. In gratitude she told a general assembly “I am here today because you care about those students at the school.”
