Williams, 38, speaking from his hospital bed in the Male Open Ward of the Georgetown Public Hospital, said that at the time of the beating he was under the influence of alcohol and he was on his way home with his brother, Deon Scott, when about three men came up from behind them and dealt him a punch to the face.
Williams said that he fell to the ground and the men continued to rain punches and kicks about his face and body. He noted that although Scott was also beaten he was still able to take him to the hospital in Matthews Ridge where he was treated and then air-dashed to the city and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Williams reportedly suffered head injuries as a result of the beating.
