‘Live in love,’ says IRO

The Inter-Religious Organisation (IRO) says citizens must open their hearts and become a channel for divine love, on the occasion of Deepavali.

In a press release the IRO said the significance of Deepavali is to lead man from darkness to light. Man is perpetually plunged into darkness and Deepavali reminds man to look for the light within and draw closer to God during difficult circumstances.

“Every religion teaches us to love one another and we should always remember that love is the greatest force in the universe.” In keeping with this the IRO urges citizens to approach one another with the love of God foremost in their minds in order to bring about unity. “Live in love, live in light and live in peace.
This is the way to celebrate Diwali,” the release said.
