The Alliance For Change (AFC) wishes to remind all Guyanese that the festival of lights is the celebration of good over evil.

According to the party, this is a time when our society is replete with much darkness; horrific crimes, violation of citizens’ human rights and increasing domestic and sexual violence.

The party said however that “light will always triumph over darkness and that there are much brighter and better days coming”.

It is with these thoughts in mind that the party extended Diwali greetings to all Guyanese, especially the Hindu Community.
