Vision Guyana extends warm greetings to the nation on the observance of Diwali.

In a press release the group said Diwali “reflects both the unity and the rich diversity of the people and culture of Guyana.” It said during this holiday Guyanese of all ages and races “come together to celebrate life, the triumph of good over evil, and the hope for happiness and prosperity that we all share.”

Guyana has become home to men and women from countries across the globe, whose skills and perspectives have enriched our culture and broadened our vision of the world. Diwali presents us with an opportunity to reflect on the history and many traditions of the Guyanese people.
