The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) extends best wishes all Guyanese, particularly the Hindu community, on this Diwali Holiday.

In a press release, the party stressed that the message of this holiday is a universal one as it speaks of the victory of good over evil and this year “our security forces have scored major victories in the fight against crime”.

It highlighted many other successes of our nation during this past year and further added that the message of this holiday is a warning to those who are involved in criminal activities that “whatever is done in the dark is always revealed in the light”.

All Guyanese are urged to celebrate this holiday in good spirits.
