Woman, 18, remanded over aggravated robbery

An eighteen-year-old female who allegedly robbed a man of a quantity of items valued $299,000 was remanded to prison yesterday when she appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Jenelle Hope was not required to plead to the indictable charge of robbery with aggravation.

It is alleged that on August 5, Hope together with others, robbed Kenrick Prescod of a gold chain, a gold ring, two cell phones and a quantity of cash, all valued $299,000.

The magistrate subsequently ordered that Hope be remanded to prison and that she return to court on February 24 of next year.
