A man is in police custody after he was found in possession of an unlicensed revolver and a gold chain yesterday.

According to a police press release, a mobile patrol was responding to a robbery under arms report on Water Street around 5.40 am yesterday.

The release said ranks managed to arrest the suspect and recover an unlicensed .32 revolver which was found in his possession, along with a gold chain that was stolen from the victim.
He is in police custody and will be charged shortly.
