Three firearm holders lose guns

Three licensed firearm holders lost their weapons in separate incidents on Wednesday and so far two arrests have been made.

According to a police press release, a licensed firearm holder of Anira Street, Queenstown awakened around 5 pm and discovered that his home was broken into and his weapon, a .32 Beretta pistol, ammunition and a laptop computer were missing from his bedroom.

In the second incident, the release stated, a resident of Shopping Plaza Road, South Ruimveldt who is currently on vacation left his .32 Taurus Pistol locked away in his bedroom which is used by his family.
Checks made for the firearm on Tuesday revealed that it was missing.

According to the release, the man’s son and two other men are in custody assisting the police with investigations.

Then a woman left her .32 Taurus revolver with ammunition in her handbag in the lunch room at her workplace and when she later checked it was missing.
Investigations are continuing.
