The body of a thirty-five year old man was found on the Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara Public Road and investigations are ongoing as to the circumstances of his death.

Dead is Rickford Barker, 35, of Hyde Park, Timehri. The body was discovered around 10.10 am yesterday, and according to a police press release there was a wound at the back of his head and abrasions about the body.

The release said that Barker had recently been released from prison.
Investigations are continuing while the police are awaiting the results of a post mortem, which will be conducted shortly.
