The National Commission on Disability (NCD) is hosting a week of activities to raise the profile of disability in Guyana.

In a press release the NCD said the activities will also mark UN International Day of Disabled Persons 2008. The NCD along with the Guyana Council planned the agenda incorporating the theme ‘Dignity and justice for all of us.’ It aims to make a renewed commitment to these principles and ensure implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The programme will be held from November 30 to December 6.
