CCWU urges persons to get tested

The Clerical & Commercial Workers’ Union (CCWU) is calling on its members to support the national week of testing by getting tested.

The union said in a press release that it will be encouraging its members at Sterling Products Limited, Trading & Distribution Inc, Guyana Oil Company Limited, Demerara Mutual Life Assurance Society Limited and Cheddi Jagan International Airport Corporation to join the Ministry of Health in the week of activities focusing on HIV testing.

Attention is to be paid to the sensitization of workers, information and awareness on getting tested, voluntary counselling and testing sites and community outreach activities, the release added.
