A man who allegedly stole a water pump among other items from two individuals and looted a storage hut was granted bail yesterday when he appeared before Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Keith Tuesday of 297 Herstelling, East Bank Demerara pleaded not guilty to two counts of simple larceny. He also pleaded not guilty to break and enter and larceny when the charges were read to him.

It is alleged that on November 6, Tuesday stole a length of hose and a nuzzle head, totalling $11,500 from Mortimer Joseph.
It is also alleged that on November 17, Tuesday stole another length of hose and a water pump totalling $17,000 from Nazmoon Rupan. He is also accused of breaking and entering the storage hut of Rupan on the same day and stealing a carpet and a quantity of foodstuff totalling $41,000.
The magistrate subsequently placed Tuesday on $60,000 bail and ordered that he return to court on December 19.
