Cops charge 69 touts

– 80 private/hire drivers
The police have prosecuted 149 people for traffic offences during the past month.
In a press statement issued last evening they said that these prosecutions are part of their ‘Zero Tolerance’ traffic enforcement.

According to the police, between October 25 and yesterday they prosecuted 69 persons for soliciting passengers (touting) throughout their divisions.

Further, they said, 80 persons have been charged and placed before the courts for using their vehicle for other than what it was licensed for example: using a private care for hire.
