Cash Cube has paid out $950,500 so far
The Guyana Telephone & Telegraph (GT&T) company now has a television show where it is giving away among other things television sets and camcorders to the lucky customers who are chosen by the machine dubbed the ‘Randomizer.’

A release from the company yesterday not only mentioned the show but also the Cellink Cash Cube from which customers have already won some $950,500 from just five stops. According to the release the promotion features a mobile booth in which customers are exposed to a number of fun activities, great offers on the latest and best in Cellink handsets and accessories and a chance to win huge sums of cash.

Customers get an opportunity to grab the cash after topping up with $500 or more and those buying GT&T handsets will be issued with a coupon and they can enter the onsite competition in order to be selected for one of five half-hourly trips into the Cash Cube. When they get the opportunity to enter the booth filled with money they will have a limited amount of time to grab all the bills they can.

According to the release Dessia Braithwaite, Renatha Exeter and the ‘Randomizer’ are giving away a 32-inch television, a laptop, an I-pod Touch, a Canon DVD Camcorder, and an X-Box Console each night.  And there are still five nights left to go. Customers must have been with the network for at least one year and have $500 or more credit.

And hinterland customers are not left out as the company has a promotion called Cellink’s $10 for 10 days just for those areas. From December 20th to 30th subscribers living in remote hinterland areas that are serviced by GT&T will be enjoying a 50% discount for the season

The promotion commences from midnight tonight with the rate that would apply to prepaid users in the respective area and the on-network calls would apply for Cellink to Cellink and Cellink to landline. The areas identified for this promotion are Lethem, Mahdia, Port Kaituma, Mabaruma, and Kwakwani.

The prepaid per minute rates applicable for origination of calls are $10.00 for the off peak rate and $11.50 vat exclusive for the peak rate.
