No mail delivery in parts of flooded East Coast

Residents in several flooded areas along the East Coast of Demerara will not be able to have their mail delivered directly to their homes, the Guyana Post Office Corporation has announced.

According to an advisory from the Public Relations Office of the GPO, residents of Bareroot, Bachelor’s Adventure, Enterprise Squatting Area, Dazzell Housing Scheme, Foulis, Paradise and Section B Non Pareil will be affected.

Residents of these communities are advised to check with their respective area post offices to collect their mail.

Normal delivery of mail is expected to resume when floodwaters have receded, the advisory added.
