Police Consumers staging special anniversary promotion to boost consumer patronage

The Guyana Police Consumers Co-operative Society has embarked on a special sales promotion drive to mark the 169th anniversary of the Guyana Police Force. Part of the promotion will allow lucky shoppers to win a number of prizes including food hampers and electronic equipment.

Customers who make Cash purchases of $3,500,00 and over are entitled to one coupon to enter the promotion. The drawing will be held at the Consumers’ Robb Street premises on Saturday August 2 at at 3 pm.

Persaud said that he regarded the facility as “a kind of bridge” between the police and the public since it provided a service that sought to meet some of the essential needs of ordinary people.

Consumers Cooperative Society Accountant Sgt. Neville Cadogan told Stabroek Business that apart from providing for the needs of the Guyana Police Force, police families and the consuming public the facility was also seeking to operate as a competitive business.
