Immigration in the US has destroyed the fabric of our culture. I remember when to get divorced was frowned upon, now it's the order of the day among Guyanese in the US. Divorce to get married and get their Green Card, then divorce to get married to your original spouse after acquiring the Green Card. On occasion the spouse moves on. What about the Guyanese that get divorced to go to the US to get married and then return to get their spouse. They sometimes get waylaid and remain with their new spouses.
