I cannot help but wonder what long term planning means to this government!!
They have an agreed to "plan of action", seems like it was left in the plan stage and will not get to action stage for another 5 years. Was this ever presented in parliament?
Sure enough, they will chant the old mantra: 'where will the financing come from?'
This will be expected from a visionless government. They will wait for handouts again!! They do not care one bit that financial aid comes with conditions that a visionless government (they don't care anyway) and a demoralised population cannot afford.
How are we as whole proceeding? What does the finance minister have in our coffers? What are we exporting? What revenues are we earning?

If we do get handouts; what are this government's plans to sustain what they can do with handouts? Did they even consider professional inputs when the choppers were bought? Will they consider inputs from experienced former security experts? Will they entertain any expert who is not a party player?

We will all agree that communication is the key to any discussion/meeting. It is pointless to call meetings just to have the bosses say what they want and the others just sit and listen. Bosses must be prepared to make communication a two way street. So far this communication process has always been a one way street, the government's way!!!

In all honesty why would anyone want to be employed in an underpaid institution such as the Police force? It is not just about recruiting personnel but compensation,if it is more lucrative to engage in trafficking illegal stuff a person would prefer to risk life and limb as oppose to risking same for next to nothing. If the Goverment is serious about protecting our borders they won't offer salaries that would make persons be inclined to be dishonest, so Mr./MS. Editor the first and foremost that should be done in any discussions being held, is proper compensation for the persons that are being saught as recruits.

Rohee is trying to pacify the mining community with more words of nothingness. As the report pointed out "recommendations of previous joint meetings remained unimplemented."
The masses have come to accept these inactions from this regime.
It's business as usual for this regime, regardless of the loss of property and lives. My heart goes out to the people who live and toil under this dictatorship.
