During the Vietnam war the US was in serious debt, France and England called in their US currency to be exchanged for gold. That would have depleted the US gold reserve and ruined the economy. So President NIxon detached the US dollar from the gold standard. Henry Kissinger then made a deal with Saudi Arabia to provide military equipment and to protect the house of Saud in exchange for them agreeing to accept only US dollars for oil and to raise the price of oil and blame the raise on OPEC. After that, any country that needed to import oil had to find US dollars to purchase it. The US dollar then became the petro dollar and has been tagged to oil ever since. Lets come back to the present. America wants to build an oil pipeline from Georgia to gulf ports in the region. Russia wants to build on oil pipeline from Iran to Russia passing thru Georgia. America wants to build a defensive missile site in Georgia. That is the same as Russia wanting to build a missile site in Canada or Mexico. American and Israeli forces are Training the Georgia military. Someone decided to call a bluff and had Georgia attack two small states that wanted to remain under the umbrella of Russia, and see what Russia would do. Well you know what happened next, so draw your own conclusions. Russia is fast becoming an oil giant, producing more oil than Saudi Arabia. America is in serious debt caused by the Federal Reserve, the money changers and the banking cartel (Rockerfellers, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and the derivative traders). If Russia is allowed to compete on the world oil market and somehow have the Ruble become the money of trading choice then the US and the banking cartel is in deep trouble. We would be looking at World war 111. President Putin was smart enough to send the money changers packing out of his country, Russia does not owe any debt to the banking cartel. America owes 8 thrillion in interest alone to these global vultures. China is poised to surpass the US as a world trading giant. The banking cartel is determined to trap all countries into their global web of debt.
